CERTIFIED PRACTICING REFINING SPECIALIST PROGRAM (CPRS)

​This program requires specific combinations of knowledge and experience, as well as successful demonstration of refinery competency through study and examination. Those who hold these certifications must continue to prove competency to maintain the credential they have earned with two hours of continuing education per year.

Requirements
  • The requirements to enter the CPRS Program are:
  • Three (2) years training, education or experience in refining.
  • Three (3) letters of recommendation from your associates who have knowledge of your study/work history and ethics

Part 2
3. Engineering Ethics 
4. Desalter / Crude / Vacuum Units
5. Hydrotreater / Catalytic Reformer / BTX Units

Part 3
​6. Fluidized Catalytic Cracking / Alkylation / Isomerization Units
7. Solvent De-asphaltene / Coker Units
8. Inherently Safer Design
